Farming 4 Hunger's fastest growing core initiative is our Youth Outreach and Early Addiction Prevention Education. We are dedicated to helping our youth understand the importance of choosing a healthy lifestyle. Actively engaging students is the best way to learn. We will be installing Tower Gardens in each elementary and middle school with your support! This offers a chance to learn about growing food aeroponically, and anywhere. We reinforce this at the field trips to the Farm!
Tower Garden is a hands-on, real-life teaching tool. Engaging students in math, science, environmental, health and other curricular areas. It isn't just a no-mess, no fuss way to grow fruits and vegetables; it allows students to see first-hand how nurturing a seed will produce a great harvest and other rewards. Students' self-esteem, responsibility, and healthful habits grow right along with the garden.
